Browsing the map does not require an account. The site is not a plate reader and it does not build a travel history.

Filters, alert settings, the Map or Satellite choice, and the last map view you share by link stay in your browser. Location is requested only when you tap Near me, start alerts, or turn on drive mode. The reading stays on the device to center the map or compare distances. It is not sent to Camwarn and it is not written to the camera database.

Opening the map requests street tiles from OpenFreeMap. Choosing Satellite also requests imagery from USGS The National Map. Those requests go to those hosts, not through Camwarn. Each request includes the tile coordinates of the area on screen, and the host sees your IP address. Camwarn does not attach an account or a location reading. OpenFreeMap serves OpenStreetMap data. The imagery is public-domain USGS orthoimagery: The National Map through zoom 16, and NAIP aerial photos closer than that.

Place search sends the text you type to this site, which asks the public Nominatim service. Camera search runs against the published dataset.

Planning a commute or a navigation route sends the start and end to this site so it can ask a public driving router for a line. Those points are not written to a log, a database, or a cache. The response is marked so it is not stored. The router sees the points and this site's address, not an account.

Open in Google Maps leaves this site. The link sends that camera's coordinates to Google. Camwarn does not receive anything back from that visit.

A report may include an optional email. That address is stored for a reply and is not published on the map. Report text is stored until it is moderated. Do not include a license plate, a face, or anyone else's contact details.

The admin tools are password-protected and are not part of the public map. When the domain is live, the public address is hello@camwarn.com, forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing. This preview does not send mail. No analytics tool is configured.
