iPhone and iPad

Open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Alerts still require the page to be open. iOS does not keep a reliable background location watch for a website.

Android

Open the site in Chrome. If an install banner appears, use it. Otherwise use the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. Vibration and a short tone work when the browser allows them and the alert is not muted.

Desktop

Chromium browsers show an install icon in the address bar when the manifest and service worker are available. The installed window is the same map.

Offline, a saved copy of pages you already opened can load. Camera tiles you have not viewed still need a connection. The offline screen says so.

Layer filters and alert distances stay on this device. Not now on the install note hides it for seven days. The map itself still needs a connection. The saved offline page does not keep an old copy of the homepage.
