Camwarn
Questions
Short answers. The enforcement and sources pages have the citations.
Does a missing pin mean there is no camera?
No. The data may be incomplete. Drivers must obey posted speed limits and signs.
Are the Los Angeles cameras issuing tickets?
The published camera layer used here labels systems Under Construction or Warning Live. Warning Live is a warning period. This site does not mark those systems as issuing citations.
Does a status label mean a citation will be issued?
No. The label is copied from the public source for that pin. It can be wrong or out of date. It is not legal advice, and it is not a promise about any particular driver.
Why are some plate readers missing a manufacturer?
The map source did not name one. They stay on the other-ALPR layer instead of being guessed.
Can I get an alert while the phone is locked?
Not reliably. Alerts need this page in the foreground and permission to read location. That limit is called out in the alert panel, especially for iPhone.
Do I need an account?
No. Browsing, search, and the directory are open. Reports go to a queue. Admin tools are separate and unpublished until a password is set.
Where does the plate-reader data come from?
OpenStreetMap, under the Open Database License. The map credits contributors in the corner of the map.
